Create a selection in the Contact module using a selection from Excel. You can do this by a simple operation with copy and paste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to the 'Selections' menu in the main 'Customers' menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Select button to paste Excel selections<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Copy the data from the Excel worksheet by selecting it and copying it (CTRL+C)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Perform the following actions in the screen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Paste the data into the text box<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Name the selection<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. If the first row is the column name, tick here<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Click on 'next'<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 4<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In this step, you make known to the Contact module database which fields you have just pasted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Click on the field<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Select the name of the field<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • If there is a field in the list that you do not want to import, leave - SKIP - blank<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Click on 'import data' for the next step<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Step 5<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The selection is ready for use, e.g. for an e-mailing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
